Two years ago, San Diego State University grads resurrected a prominent pre-Prohibition brand, reintroducing the name in tandem with beers much different from those produced by the original ABC. Located in the rear of an industrial park, the brewery crafts beers that include ingredients such as agave, chocolate, and chipotle peppers. Those brews tend to be a bit on the viscous and sweet side. Close proximity to Vista’s many nearby tasting rooms makes it easy to visit on a day of brewery touring.
