January 6, 1967 - October 10, 2024
Larry Ronald Starbird, who entered this world on January 6th, 1967, departed from us peacefully in his home on October 10th, 2024, due to natural causes. Born at the U.S. Naval Base Subic Bay in Olongapo, Philippines, Larry spent the majority of his life in San Diego. He enlisted in the Navy at a young age and later medically retired following his tour in Operation Desert Sabre, the campaign for the liberation of Kuwait. He is survived by his children, Richard L. Starbird and Stephanie M. Starbird, his grandchildren, Ariana M. Diaz, Malaya L. Diaz, Jaxson N. Starbird, Caius M. Geronilla, Alani M. Geronilla, and Cillian M. Geronilla. His sisters Teresa (Menchie) Barr, Karen Otter, Amy Starbird, his stepfather Roy (Kahoy) Wood, and stepmother Wanda Starbird. He was a remarkable father and grandfather (Papa); he will be greatly missed and remembered fondly.
