Shirlyn Potter Daddario passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, after a heroic battle with breast cancer. Shirlyn was a San Diego native, graduated from Crawford High School, attended San Diego State University, and received her JD from California Western School of Law. Shirlyn was tireless, refusing to let anything stop her. She completed her undergraduate and law degrees while a single mother to her three girls, somehow managing to attend their swim meets and run marathons too. She valued education and encouraged her daughters to excel in all of their endeavors, and was immensely proud of them for all of their accomplishments. She will always be remembered as the consummate hostess. Her home was always the gathering place for friends and family, be it pool parties in the summer or Christmas dinner for any and all who would otherwise spend the holiday alone. Shirlyn loved her family and friends, cooking, gardening, traveling, the family cabin, her Jeep, the law, opera, and above all, her cherished grandchildren. "Granny" was never happier than when she was being embarrassingly silly with her adoring grandkids. She leaves behind a wide circle of friends and colleagues, including her Geocon family, who were all a tremendous support to her during her illness. Shirlyn is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Dominique Tharp (Jeep) of Alpine, Sunshine Axlund (Eric) of Erie, CO, and Sarah Dorsey (Dan) of Ft. Collins, CO, her three sisters, Terry Cameron, Carolyn Sharpe and Linda Anderson, all of San Diego, as well as her four beloved grandchildren, Haleigh, Dane, Bridger and Cole.Shirlyn truly lived life to the fullest and found joy in the everyday. Her positivity and faith remained steadfast, even in the midst of her most difficult days. She was a mother to everyone, and we lost her far too soon.
