Originally from Cardiff, Wales, Jonny Tarr makes electronic soul music on guitar, synth, sax, flute, vocals, loop station, samples, and blowing sax. His first fully self-produced album The Rules was released last year via local Pacific Records. “The album is a response to the past few years of world chaos and emotional wreckage filled with messages of love and hope,” says Tarr, who also occasionally fronts a tribute project covering the music of the band Chicago.

Back to the Garden recreates the music of past eras with a local all-star lineup featuring Jim Soldi (Picus Maximus, Montezuma’s Revenge), Marc "Twang" Intravaia (Berkley Hart Selis Twang), and others. For these Poway performances taking place over two nights, Back To the Garden presents The Beatles Alone Together: The Concert That Never Was, featuringtimeless classics from the Beatles alongside hits from their solo careers.

Swing Kids were a 1990s hardcore/screamo band whose music was characterized by frontman Justin Pearson's spoken/screamed vocals and their melodic/chaotic rhythms & song structures. Swing Kids represented San Diego "art hardcore” scene and are credited with the unintentional creation of so-called Spock Rock, mainly due to fans emulating Pearson's fashion sense and hairstyle. The band (minus their late co-founder Eric Allen) will stage reunion performances in Tijuana on March 29 and at the Casbah on March 30. The San Diego date includes Prisoner, Fractal, Death Blows to the Empire, Negative Blast, Agonista, and Nanobel.

Known for his work as guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter for alternative rock bands Hüsker Dü in the 1980s and Sugar in the 1990s, Bob Mould has been carving out a distinctive solo career with over a dozen albums since 1989, including his newest released this month, Here We Go Crazy. This Little Italy stop on the album’s support tour features guest Craig Finn, best known from the indie rock band The Hold Steady.
