KSON CountryFest
This year’s KSON CountryFest includes food tents, games and activities, and local merch vendors, as well as a musical bill featuring top country talents. Headliner Justin Moore has charted eighteen times on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts, including with the number one singles “Small Town USA” and “You Look Like I Need a Drink.” Also appearing will be Nate Smith, the Morgan Leigh Band, and Warren Zeiders.
Squirrel Nut Zippers
Founded in 1993 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, The Squirrel Nut Zippers specialize in a fusion of Delta blues, gypsy jazz, 1930s swing, klezmer, and other styles. The group was split for a time in the early 2000s when cofounders James “Jimbo” Mathus and Katharine Whalen divorced, and the band members went their separate ways. They’ve since reunited and released new albums in 2018 and 2020, as well as regaining their place as a popular live act on the concert circuit.
