Special Lecture Series: Art of Wine
Barbara Baxter, who trained at the Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Napa and also studied in Italy and France, leads you on a cultural journey through the world of art and wine. The presentations will focus on three regions: Rome (Classical architecture), Provence (Impressionist painting), and California (Postwar art), and will offer wine pairings for each.

The String Cheese Incident is an American jam band from Crested Butte and Telluride, formed in 1993. Their music features elements of bluegrass, as well as rock, electronica, calypso, funk, jazz, Latin, reggae, and psychedelia. All members write original compositions and sing. San Diego is one of only six cities hosting this short tour, along with being one of only two which will be treated to an opening set by Pigeons Playing Ping Pong on both nights.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival
This year’s theme is Celebrating Irish Business. The parade begins at 5th and Laurel, then proceeds north to Upas, east to 6th and south to Laurel Street. Come see the nearly 100 entrants: marching bands, military, fire fighters, law enforcement, and Irish community groups and businesses. The festival will run along 6th Ave from Laurel to Nutmeg and will feature vendors, food, information booths, live entertainment, and an expanded kids’ area.

St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl IN PB

Local vendors will be in the upper garden and Japanese food, beer, and sake will be available in the lower garden.
