Tyler, The Creator started his music career online in the early 2000s, when he posted his songs on Myspace and connected with other artists. He co-founded the collective Odd Future and won MTV's Best New Artist award in 2011 for his album Goblin, going on to play an influential role in the development of alternative hip-hop. The San Diego stop of his Chromakopia World Tour includes opening acts Lil Yachty and Paris Texas.

Within a year of forming in 2002, Florida alt-rockers Anberlin had signed with an indie label and released their debut album. The band is celebrating the twentieth anniversary of their full-length Never Take Friendship Personal by performing it in concert, with new singer Matty Mullins at the mic. In addition, fellow Florida band Copeland will play their 2005 album In Motion in its entirety, and the bill includes Chicago rockers Spitalfield.
