Fred Benedetti began playing the guitar at age nine, going on to perform with the San Diego Symphony, the San Diego Opera, the Starlight Opera, the American Ballet Company, the Old Globe Theatre, and with Luciano Pavarotti. Among the ensembles he’s played with are Camarada (chamber ensemble), Keltik Kharma (a Celtic band), the Odeum Guitar Duo, and the Benedetti/Svoboda Guitar Duo. He has also performed for dignitaries such as the king & queen of Malaysia, Mikhail Gorbachev, and President Jimmy Carter

Sara Petite was born and raised in the countryside of Sumner, Washington, later relocating to San Diego. The theme of this month’s edition of Sara Petite’s Americana Roundup is Honky Tonk Angels, a celebration of country music’s most iconic women. The night kicks off with Dolly’s Revenge (Ashley E. Norton and band), setting the stage for an all-star lineup featuring Petite with Ash Easton, Chloe Lou, Lauren Leigh, Jessie Lark, and Sara Jade.

TJ Moss is a singer-songwriter who plays acoustic pop with country roots, reflecting influences like Paul Simon, Jason Mraz, and Keith Urban. He won an Emmy Award in 2010 when his song, "It's On" was featured in a promotion for WPIX in NYC. He’s performed everywhere from toddler birthday parties and nursing homes to dive bars and festival stages, as well as playing for the Dalai Lama at The University of Cambridge in 2015. In solo concerts such as this La Jolla date, he performs originals and covers on acoustic guitar, harmonica, and looped percussion.

Big Time Operator is a big band led by trombonist Kevin Esposito and featuring up 16 instruments, as well as singers such as Draeh Jirnae. They won San Diego Music Awards for Best Big Band every year from 1997 to 2001. They also won the 1998 Jim Croce’s Excellence in Entertainment award. True to the past and yet completely contemporary, they excel at playing classics from the 1940s and 1950s, specializing in big band, Latin, and original arrangements.
