Come and hear a presentation by Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner, an Austrian mountaineer who has climbed all 14 of the 8,000+ meter peaks, from Annapurna to Everest — only the second woman to do so. In addition, she was the first woman climber to climb K2, in the remote Karakoram Range, without supplemental oxygen or porters. She'll share highlights from her career and talk about what it was like to be the first.

Their latest, Spirits, came out in February. The evening's lineup includes Bridge City Sinners.

The Amazing Gray Whale Migration
Take in a presentation by Jane Barger, naturalist at the San Diego Natural History Museum. She will talk about the Eastern North Pacific Gray Whale, providing information about its population, migration, route, calving, feeding, and physical characteristics. Afterwards, enjoy vistas of the Batiquitos Lagoon from a nature trail along its north shore. The public walking and hiking trail is about 1.6 miles long.
