Star Party in the Desert

Experience stargazing at the Borrego Palm Canyon Campfire Center. Learn about constellations, astronomy, and witness a truly dark sky where the full spectrum of stars and celestial objects are on full display. Recognized as both a Dark Sky Community and an International Dark Sky Park, this area offers some of the best stargazing in the world due to clear skies and minimal light pollution.

When: Saturday, January 25, 6 pm to 7 pm.

Where: Anza Borrego Desert State Park Visitor Center, 200 Palm Canyon Dr, Borrego Springs. theabf.org

Lunar New Year AXIS Event

Celebrate the Lunar New Year and the beginning of the Year of the Snake at the Old Globe.


Ring in the Lunar New Year at The Old Globe by celebrating the start of the Year of the Snake on the Globe’s outdoor Copley Plaza. Cultural performances by local artists, live music, dances, Chinese food, and arts and crafts. Event is free and open to the public.
