Haunted Trail of Balboa Park

Make your way through the twisted grove of pines and gnarled oaks at the Haunted Trail. Two haunts: the 3500 square feet “experiment maze,” a menagerie of witches, clowns and fairy tale creatures including “Moldy Locks” and her three man-eating bears. And the mile-long trail sending you through a foggy ghost graveyard, ghoul bus, and meat house with chainsaw-laden barn. Parking is free in Balboa Park.

When: Thursday, October 31, 6:30 pm. Through November 2.

ZZ Top

"That little 'ol band from Texas" takes the stage amongst the palm trees of Humphreys Concerts by the Bay.

Vocalist-guitarist Billy Gibbons and bassist-vocalist Dusty Hill have been making ZZ Top music since first coming together in Houston, Texas back in 1969. They’ve scored six number-one singles on the Mainstream Rock Chart, and were the subject of a documentary film, That Little Ol’ Band from Texas. Following the 2021 death of co-founding bassist Dusty Hill, the duo recruited the band’s guitar tech Elwood Francis for their current Elevation Tour.

Gem Diego Show

Gem Diego is the San Diego Mineral & Gem's largest event and it being held in the Liberty Station Conference Center and it's free.

The San Diego Mineral & Gem Society show promotes small businesses related to gems and minerals in Liberty Station. Expect 23 dealers, exhibits and lapidary demonstrations, silversmithing, kids’ zone, gems, minerals, crystals, fossils, rough, cut stones, jewelry, slabs, and prizes. The Jaguar Trophy is presented by the Society President to the member who enters the most beautiful case of their own work.

When: Saturday, November 2, and Sunday, November 3, 10 am to 6 pm
