Former San Diego guitarist Devon Goldberg, aka Devon E. Levins (Creedle, Rust) founded the soundtrack-inspired Morricone Youth in 1999, a year after moving to New York from SD. He’s returning to town with his band to perform the live soundtrack to a film screening of Night Of the Living Dead, on a bill that includes The Montalban Quintet.

The bill includes MC Magic and Baby Bash, as well as Southeast San Diego rapper Jayo Felony. a former member of the Crip gang Rollin 40s Neighborhood who has collaborated with Snoop Dogg, Daz Dillinger, and Kurupt. Also appearing will be Lil Rob. a Mexican-American (Chicano) rapper born and raised in the La Colonia area of Eden Gardens, a Hispanic neighborhood near Solana Beach.

Dark Entities is a new act that features Jason Lee (of the R.I.P.tides) and vibraphonist Marty Lush. Lee has also composed scores for TV networks, including A&E, Discovery, and Spike, with credits on programs such as Shark Week and Duck Dynasty. The band will preview their upcoming vinyl release, which can be ordered at the event, by performing two separate sets.

The Black Heart Procession was co-founded in the late 1990s by Pall Jenkins and Tobias Nathanial, and became known for ambitious concept albums exploring existential themes. Although its members have gone on to separate projects, they occasionally reunite for short tours and one-off shows such as this one at their former home-base in Little Italy. The bill includes Nanobel and Infinite Infinities.
