Political puzzle

I couldn’t help noticing all of the Kamala Harris clues featured in your weekly crossword puzzle, the last couple of months, or so. After noticing the first few weeks in a row, I made a point of checking for any Donald Trump clues in the same puzzles. After all, it seems only fair to include the other, major political candidate, currently running for President of the United States.

None came to my attention, that is, until this last week’s puzzle (October 17, pg. 34). The question was, “Eavesdropping range” (5 down). The answer was, “earshot”. Any points you thought you earned for being clever, you lost for being tasteless and insensitive.

Thanks for printing this excellent interview of Mr. Larry Turner in the October 10, 2024 issue of San Diego Reader (“Larry Turner – the man who would be San Diego’s mayor”, Cover Story, October 10, 2024). With his impeccable resume (many years of service with USMC and SDPD) he is the most qualified person to get City of S.D. on the right trajectory at this critical time. As a SDPD Officer he helped us to remove an unauthorized person from our property twice in the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego. He is a no nonsense man and will chart a course for a brighter future.
