O’side Tree Lighting & Gift Market

Annual tree lighting event in conjunction with the Holiday Sunset Market. Decorations, live music, family-friendly entertainment, games, amusement rides, zip lines, and bounce houses. There will be free cookies and milk for children and holiday arts and crafts projects. At 6 pm Santa will arrive on a vintage Oceanside fire truck and will assist city officials in the tree lighting count down. Afterwards, shop local and enjoy the Sunset Market.

Join us for an evening of dazzling lights, seasonal spirit, barnyard friends and a sprinkle of steam and gas history to make it a unique celebration.

Explore the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum grounds, where you’ll find decorated exhibits and vintage displays. Stroll through pathways to enjoy pictures with Santa, a petting zoo, s’mores, Christmas movies, and train rides. Step back in time with museum houses like blacksmiths, weavers, and spinners. There will be a model trains club holiday display.

The Elovaters and Little Stranger

The Elovaters and Little Stranger bring reggae-rock and alt-hip-hop to the Sound's amazing venue on the Del Mar Fairgrounds.


Founded in 2014, Boston reggae rockers The Elovaters first made their mark on the American progressive roots scene in 2018 with their album Defy Gravity, which reached number one on the Billboard reggae chart. They’re touring in support of last year’s Endless Summer album. Alt-hip-hop duo Little Stranger released a new studio album in June, Sat Around Trippin. Opening act Drapht is a hip-hop artist from Perth, Australia.
