Laurence Juber

Laurence Juber is internationally renowned, and widely recognized for his work as lead guitarist for Paul McCartney's Wings.


Join Guitars and Ukes in the Classroom for music from two-time Grammy winning guitarist, recording artist, composer, and arranger Laurence Juber, best known from Paul McCartney’s band Wings. His album LJ Plays the Beatles was voted in the top ten of favorite acoustic guitar recordings by Acoustic Guitar Magazine. The event includes a pre-show mingle beginning at 6 pm with light refreshments, a small silent pre-holiday auction, and a birthday celebration with a view of San Diego’s skyline and Balboa Park.

There will be engines running around the park courtesy of the Poway-Midland Railroad, model trains inside, and San Diego musical talent on the Gazebo Stage, with shaded seating for the audience. Master storyteller Marilyn McPhie will keep things on time and will tell some train stories. Tour the Nelson House and museum and browse hand-crafted items at the Boardwalk Craft Market.When: Saturday, November 9, 10 am to 4 pm
