In its place, vandals mounted a Los Angeles Dodgers pennant. “Honestly, we meant no offense,” read a subsequent Instagram post by Roger Dodger, the prankster collective that took credit for the joke. “But 25 scoreless innings to end Slam Diego’s season? We were just trying to bring the image into alignment with the reality. Better luck next year, fellas! Looks like God’s still on the side of the City of Angels!”
