GI Film Festival San Diego

“Final Fight: When the Trauma of War Comes Home” goes deeper than any documentary to date in revealing the root causes of this tragic epidemic by profiling a diverse group of veterans struggling with either combat and/or sexual assault-related post traumatic stress.


21 documentaries, animated films, comedic shorts, and experimental 3-D fare. Every film screening at the festival is either made for, by, or about service members and veterans. May 9: women veterans in film, May 10: artist, Marine, and acrobat Cliff Westermann, May 11: awards ceremony hosted by comedian and army combat veteran Thom Tran. 

When: Thursday, May 9, 10, and 11, 6 pm

Celtic Woman: 20th Anniversary Tour

The Celtic Woman 20th Anniversary Tour will be delighting audiences with its fresh blend of traditional and contemporary Irish music that echoes Ireland's rich musical and cultural heritage, while reflecting the vibrant spirit of modern Ireland.

Grammy-nominated Celtic Woman returns to downtown with a new production celebrating twenty years of music and dance. The all-female Irish ensemble has released nearly two dozen albums, sold more than nine million records, and were named Billboard’s World Album Artist of the Year six times.

Wonderfront Music & Arts Festival

3 incredible days of music, arts, food, wine, spirits, beer, boat parties with bands, dance club, on-site pub, games, and much more; all along the downtown San Diego waterfront.


Three-day event happening at Seaport Village and around downtown. Multiple stages with artists T-Pain, Weezer, Carly Rae Jepsen, Milky Chance, Beck, The Roots, Natasha Bedingfield, and 80+ more bands. Food, drinks, boat parties with bands, dance clubs, and games all along the waterfront. 

When: Friday, May 10 through Sunday, May 12, 12pm
