Based in PB and OB, beach rockers Sandollar started off with a couple of high school buddies jamming in wood shop. An early break came when they were singled out as San Diego’s best unsigned band and taped for the web TV series Indie Across America. They’re currently signed to local Pacific Records, which has released singles such as “So Dangerous” and “Warrior.”

The Punk Rock Chili Dog Social features free hot dogs, drink specials, and a packed lineup that hits the stage mid-afternoon. The bill includes Hector Penalosa, best known from local punk icons The Zeros, as well as RF7, Nervous Gender Reloaded, Carnage Asa, and Wicked Echoes, whose eponymous full-length was nominated for Best Rock Album in a 2019 poll at Poway’s San Diego Music Academy.

Among the predecessors of American folk music is European world music from the Renaissance era, roughly the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. Courtly Noyse brings that music to life, complete with period repertoire, costumes, and instruments, some of which you’ll recognize as early incarnations of guitars, violins, and dulcimers.

Shelbi Bennett is best known as the singer from San Diego Music Award winners Midnight Pine, as well as Creature and the Woods, the Havnauts, and Baby Bushka. Grampadrew will open the show, a solo act featuring acoustic troubadour Drew Douglas, who was nominated Best Alt Country and Best Songwriter at the 2008 San Diego HAT (Honoring Acoustic Talent) Awards. The bill includes C. Gibbs Review.

Jewel first rose from playing local coffeehouses to worldwide stages on the strength of her 1995 album Pieces Of You, which included songs from her time living out of a van in San Diego. In 2022, she released her first new studio album in seven years, Freewheelin’ Woman. Jewel is co-headlining with Melissa Etheridge, whose most recent studio album One Way Out dropped in 2021.
