Five finalists in the nationwide Wacken Metal Battle USA competition recently went head to head at Brick By Brick, with locals Cascade Effect crowned the 2024 champion. The group will be the only indie metal band from the USA playing at Wacken Open Air in Germany on July 31. Over 80,000 people are expected to attend the annual festival. The Linda Vista bill includes Helsott, Brutalion, Son ov Leviathan, and Parasitic Existence.

She won for Best R&B, Funk or Soul Song and Best Video, both for her track “What’s It Gonna Be.”
