Chris Ahrens has released his 12th book, Windansea: Life. Death. Resurrection. Ahrens has centered five of his books on surf culture and untold beach stories. This one tells the stories of prominent figures at La Jolla’s Windansea Beach from 1937 to 1981, starting with surfing pioneer Woody Brown. The coffee table book has 156 pages and 52 photos, exploring Windansea's status as a "locals only" spot that Ahrens describes as "tribalistic" and run by its own rules.
