DJ Bassassin graduated from the Musicians Institute with a focus on Music Production and Music Business. The resident DJ for Moxy San Diego has a new single, “Padre Gang,” inspired by DJ Mustard’s beats and featuring local guest rapper Mitchy Slick. With shout-outs to the Padres, Seaport Village, and locally made carne asada, the track has scored over 60,000 streams and been featured on New Rap Discovery, TrapRap Hip-Hop United, Hip-Hop Trap, and Rap Hits.

Jeff Berkley

Jeff Berkley & Friends have a new 13-song album called Under the Covers featuring duet covers. “I chose songs that inspired me through the years, as well as people who inspire me now,” says Berkley. “About 12 years ago, I started recording songs for what was to become this album. It was done catch as catch can, as I had friends come into the studio.” Guests include Rebecca Jade, Lauren Leigh Martin, Veronica May, Cathryn Beeks, Cici Artemisia, Allegra Duchaine, Shawn Rohlf, Astra Kelly, Barbara Nesbitt, and Marcia Claire.

Adam Lambert

On Sunday July 24, Queen & Adam Lambert will stream Rhapsody Over London, a recently-filmed concert at The 02 London. Billy Shaddox

Unapologetically Billy is out in the world,” says Billy Shaddox, whose band Billy Midnight won a 2008 San Diego Music Award for Best Americana or Country Album. “This album was conceived and recorded in March and April of this year. Everything you hear on this one was performed and recorded by me, here in the Gulch. I’m honored to share this collection of songs with you, take a listen, connect with the music, and get to know me a little better through this collection.”

Sully Band

Sully Band frontman Robert “Sully” Sullivan was named Man of the Year by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s San Diego & Hawaii Region. Sullivan’s campaign contributed a record-breaking total of $418,459 towards the fight against blood cancer.
