Paola Alberdi-inspired style from H&M, Zara, Bershka and Forever 21

Check out the San Diego fashion influencer’s Amazon “drop”

In the Refill Cafe in Hillcrest I spotted Melissa wearing the most stylish linen blazer. I admired her effortless style. When I approached her, I learned that the Napa Valley native has lived in Tijuana for most of her life. She is a graphic design student and manages social media accounts for businesses in her free time.

Amazon has rolled out Amazon the Drop where the company monthly selects a notable individual in the fashion industry to design their own collection. Here’s the catch: the line is available for purchase online for 30 hours. All products are made to order. Melissa purchased her beige linen blazer about a month ago from San Diego fashion influencer Paola Alberdi’s “drop.” It was $45, and she received it about two and a half weeks after placing her order. Melissa gushed that she has been inspired by Alberdi’s style for years.

Straw bags like Melissa’s are trending this summer

Melissa’s mustard yellow tank top was from H&M. She boasted, “Can you believe it was only three dollars? They have it in every color so I’m for sure going back to purchase more.”

Her light blue denim jeans are a recent Zara purchase ($45), her camel tie-up sandals are from Bershka ($35), her summer straw bag is from a local artisanal vendor in Baja California Sur ($8), and the thin paisley bandana she tied to it is from Forever 21 ($4).
