I mean, it's the movies, so what else is new? But still.
The Wound has violence done to a bunch of guys' sexy bits. Also, sex and violence. mother! has much more violence than sex, but the title character does want a baby, and lovin' is the most typical means to that end. American Assassin is mostly violence, as is The Villainess, but while the former is dull about it, the latter is over-the-top frenetic in its bloodshed. Even tasteful biopic Rebel in the Rye opens with J.D. Salinger finding out its hard to get laid when you're an unpublished writer, and then getting traumatized by the violence of war. (We didn't review Paulina, but it's about a gang-rape victim, so.)
Only the documentary California Typewriter has something less visceral in mind. Good thing it's good!
