Local album?

“In A Safe Place by the Album Leaf or Autumn of the Seraphs by Pinback.”

Venue to host?

“Whistle Stop. It’s just the perfect location. Lots of spaces to hang out and always a chill crowd.”

Venue to watch?

“The Casbah. Soda Bar is a close second.”

Gear shop?

“I make the 94 run between Guitar Center and Sam Ash a lot. Neither is a favorite. I love RobotSpeak on Haight Street in San Francisco.”

Eats?

“After a show, I like to eat at the Turf Club, mostly because I can walk home from there. The Station is the go-to place before Open Oscillator. I was just reminiscing about the old days at the Casbah when we would have to walk to the Waterfront to eat. And that seemed sketchy. Now there are like 10,000 really good places to eat all around there!”

Outdoors?

“Lately, [my roommate] Dan and I have been running on Harbor Drive. The views are still classic, and the tourist-dodging makes it like an obstacle course. The grassy areas around Morley Field are nice places to relax.”

Recording studio?

“Mission Control in Kearny Mesa.”

Events?

“The Office Under Cover series. Dorkbot. The electronic musician meetup group and Acid Varsity at Kava Lounge.”
