“Spooky Cigarette because they showed me a style of music I wasn’t aware of. At first I was, like, ‘WTF am I listening to?’ Now I love it. ‘Spiritual Hypochondriac’ has been my jam since the New Year.”

“The Loft because they give you a sound check and let you pick your mics. Even as a little local opening band.”
Do you have a favorite studio that you like to use?
“Rarefied Recording because of the vintage gear.”
Where is your favorite place to buy gear?
“Craigslist for pedals, Sam Ash for other stuff.”

“88.3 — it’s local, commercial-free, and you’ll usually never hear anything familiar. It’s a good way to clean your slate from catchy pop radio.”
