January 30

— HP responded to the G Street Mole (Commercial fishing docks) where a fishing net was on fire. The large net was on top of the concrete pier and was fully engulfed in flames. A Good Samaritan attempted to put the fire out but was unable, due to the intense heat. SDFD and HP extinguished the fire and together are investigating this as an arson case. Damage to the net is approx. $250,000.00.

— HP responded to an accident involving two jet skis in north SD Bay. The two inexperienced operators collided with one another while jumping a wake causing minor injuries and damage to the rented skis.

January 28

— HP responded to two jet skis that were both sinking and the operators were in the water. It was found that one of the skis was recently worked on when it began sinking. The other ski began towing the submerged ski and also began to sink. HP towed the two submerged skis to land and there were no injuries.

— HP documented a report of damage involving a vessel breaking free in the storms and striking the nearby rocks in the A-3 Anchorage.
