Start the jazz week off with a free solo piano concert featuring Joshua White at the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library (1008 Wall Street) starting at noon.

Wednesday 25
Vocalist Leonard Patton performs in duo with pianist Michael Leroy Peed at the La Valencia Hotel (1132 Prospect Street) from 6 to 10 p.m. No cover charge… Trumpeter Gilbert Castellanos begins a double-shift evening at Panama 66 (1450 El Prado) at 6 p.m. when he hosts the Young Lions Series featuring Eric Wesling on guitar. At 8:30, he leads the weekly jam session with Rob Thorsen and Joshua White until 11:30. Musicians and artists, bring your tools. All ages, no cover, no minimum.
