For a television show I pick the original Twilight Zone. For a movie I choose the documentary The Fog of War. Both of these pieces really deal with the same thing: humanity trying to identify what exactly reality is. Both deal with life and death, rationality and insanity, and with trying to convince your fellow humans that the most important thing in life and perhaps the most difficult thing is to be a decent human being. Because in the end you may be ignorant of reality, you may be confused by the facts, you may feel out of control in a giant universe, but if you fight your own worst instincts and if you think hard enough you can be a decent human being.
