The technological marvel that comprises the estate at 6424 La Valle Plateada in Rancho Santa Fe “excites the senses immediately as one enters the grand iron gates” to the nearly seven-acre private compound, listing materials promise.

“As you drive past the cascading waterfalls through the lush tropical vegetation, you are welcomed to a stunning foyer,” the listing continues. “Massive arched windows beckon you into the formal living room with picturesque resort pool and waterfall views.”

Inside, the main residence includes six bedrooms and seven baths spread across an estimated 21,000 square feet of living space. Rooms include “his handcrafted Mahogany paneled office” along with “her elegant wood paneled office,” along with a “resort size gym, play room, game room, theatre, bar, and wine cellar.”

Keypads and touch screens in almost every room

A kitchen “would impress the finest gourmets, featuring la cornue, Calacatta Gold Marble, and top of the line appliances,” and is open to the family room and game room “complete with serving bar, wine cellar, and game tables.”

“When it comes to home automation, this house has it all.”

The master suite includes a 650-square-foot bedroom area, along with “a magnificent sitting room complete with fireplace and media center, his and her bathrooms with heated stone floors, oversized his and her closets, her shoe closet, full service resort size exercise room with steam room, massage room, full bathroom, and soundproof meditation room to uplift the spirit.” There’s also an “ultra private master courtyard with pool/spa and outdoor fireplace specifically designed for the peaceful enjoyment of the master suite occupants.”

“All of this plus a full outdoor speaker system with rock speakers.”

Other luxury appointments include designer wool carpets and “beautiful wood plank flooring,” and custom marble fireplaces that “adorn all of the main rooms as well as the bedrooms, while detail paneled skylights frame the beauty overhead.”

“When it comes to home automation, this house has it all,” the listing continues. There are 28 “completely automated audio zones, HVAC, lighting, shade, pool systems, a state of the art surveillance system and more!” Keypads and touch screens in almost every room allow for control of the home’s systems directly or via iPad/iPhone integration, including eight separately controlled television systems, a soundproofed theater “stocked with a top-of-the-line equipment and a massive Stewart Cinema Curve Screen.”

“You’ll hear amazing sound quality from the top of the line Sonance in-wall and in-ceiling speakers. All of this plus a full outdoor speaker system with rock speakers hidden in the beautiful landscaping.” The system can also be used to place the entire home into different modes, including home, away, entertainment, and night settings.

Outside the main residence, tropical foliage hides “his stunning custom office with conference room, back office, bath, and closet. Tiki-torch-lined pathways guide to the pool pavilion enhanced with two fireplaces, a gourmet kitchen and plasma TVs.” There are also “grassy play yards, volleyball court, tennis court with basketball court inset, vegetable gardens and vistas to the Rancho Santa Fe golf course.” A two-bedroom guest house rounds out the estate.

The last publicly disclosed transfer of the La Valle Plateada compound occurred back in 1995 with a reported sale price of $1.3 million, but that was before the reported home construction date of 1998 and well below the currently assessed value of nearly $14.3 million.

In 2006, however, the property was transferred for an undisclosed price to a trust administered by the First American title insurance company, which is listed as the current owner. A loan recorded in November 2011, however, lists Raymond Faltinski as the borrower. Faltinski is the founder of Phoenix-based Freelife International, a multi-level marketing company that attracted media attention following questionable cancer-fighting claims made about its primary product, Himalayan Goji Juice. A class-action suit regarding those claims was settled in April 2010.

The La Valle Plateada estate was listed for sale several times in the mid-2000s, failing to attract a buyer with asking prices ranging between $21 and $24 million. It hit the open market for the first time since 2006 in late March, carrying a price tag of $24,995,000.
