Musical brothers Alan and Mark Ferber headline a double-bill concert at The Loft (911 Lyman Lane) leading a group with Jon Gordon, Joshua White, and Matt Pavolka, with the Kyle Motl Trio featuring Drew Ceccato and Juan Rubio opening at 8 p.m. This is a free concert.

Wednesday 26
Gilbert Castellanos begins his double-shift at Panama 66 (1450 El Prado) at 6 p.m. when he hosts the Young Lions Series, featuring vocalist Emma Christie-Foster, with Johncarlo Grady, Jodie Hill, Alex Moreno, and Edward Gabrielyan outdoors on the patio before heading inside to lead the jam session at 8:30 p.m. No cover, all ages, musicians bring your horns… Former Frank Zappa percussionist Terry Bozzio plays “The World’s Largest Tuned Drum Set” at Dizzy’s (4275 Mission Bay Drive) at 8 p.m. $25 cash at the door… Vocalist Leonard Patton plays in duo with pianist Michael Leroy Peed at the La Valencia Hotel (1132 Prospect Street) at 6 p.m. No cover… MAST with Gavin Templeton on reeds and Nigel Sifantus on drums play a show that also features Depakote, Preacher Vs.
