The Orionid meteor shower is active in the month of October and is expected to reach its peak in the early morning tomorrow, Friday, October 21.
Unfortunately, a brightly illuminated moon will glare out much of the activity. From a reasonably dark location, however, you might be able to spot five to ten meteors per hour between midnight and dawn. The meteors radiate from near the constellation of Orion rising in the east early morning of October 21. Look 30°40' degrees away from this point for longer trail meteors.
