Stuart Teshima, former chief financial officer of "a large San Diego-based Department of Defense contracting firm," according to the United States Attorney's office, today (October 4) pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $825,000 from the unidentified firm. He stole the money over eight years.
Teshima oversaw the company's credit card operation. He misused the company's credit cards for personal travel, jewelry, and the like. He would cook up fictitious business expenses to cover the thefts.
I could not reach the U.S. Attorney's office for identification of the company from which he stole the money. He was formerly senior vice president of finance and corporate comptroller for Epsilon Systems Solutions, which says he doesn't work there anymore.
