Dear Hipster:
How the heck am I supposed to ironically entertain myself now that I can’t hate-watch that trainwreck of an election?

As far as the classic hipster pastime of “watching stuff in order to feel superior to it,” it’s hard to top the past 18 months of political drama. Fortunately, I’ve got a few recommendations for you from the weirder and more ironic corners of the world:
One. At contrapuntalism.wordpress.com (“a general-interest weblog, so long as you are generally interested in music, music theory, wood-cased pencils and their history”) you can slake your twin thirsts for pencils and baroque music.
Two. If you require further horrification, I recommend videos of Japanese chefs preparing fish that look as if they crawled directly out of your nightmares.
Three. There’s always the new Lethal Weapon TV show, which hipsters are duty-bound to feel superior to, not because it is crappy (which it totally is) but because warmed-over 1980s canned goods creeping into mainstream culture hits a little close to home!
