— Fall from a motor bike at Seaforth boat rental lot; 80y/o male with unknown medical condition. LG’s and Fire respond. Patient transported by medic 21 to UCSD.

— 21 y/o stingray patient at Blacks Beach at Bathtub Rock. LG’s and State LG’s respond. Patient treated and released by Lifeguards.

— SDPD requested to Bonita Cove for a male with a Nerf gun that had attached needles to the projectiles and is threatening to shoot lifeguards and patrons. SDPD clear with one prisoner.

— 37 ft. vessel at Rivera Shores requests assistance on VHF. MI responds and helps set vessel’s anchor and entered water to assist inspecting the prop damage. MI clear Tow boat US to handle.

— 24 y/o male broken clavicle from body boarding at Blacks Beach. LG’s and Medic 38 respond. Medic 38 transports patient to Scripps La Jolla.

— 41 y/o stingray patient at Blacks Beach. LG U 35 responds and transports patient to Black Gold rd.

— Noise complaint on a Pontoon boat at Santa Barbara Cove. MI responds. MI corrected problem.

— 25’ Pontoon boat DIW blowing around at the NW side of Fiesta Island. GII responds. GII emergency tow to De Anza.

— 11 y/o bee sting mild status at La Jolla Shores. LG’s and Fire respond and AMA the patient.

— Heat exposure at the Citizen’s Trail at Black’s Beach (31y/o male). LG’s, Fire, and Copter 2 respond. Helo transports Patient to LZ at parking lot and Medic 9 to Scripps La Jolla.

— 30 y/o male unconscious fainting near Brighton bathrooms in a red Truck. LG’s, Fire and PD respond. PD to handle.

— Altered LOC at Windansea on a 20 y/o female, c-spine precautions taken. LG’s and Fire respond. Medic 47 to Scripps La Jolla.

— Woman yelling for help at Campland on the Bay on a vessel Code 7. LG’s and SDPD responded. SDPD investigates and rules it a no call, all units clear.

June 18

— HP responded to a vessel taking on water in the Coronado Cays. HP contacted the owner and worked with the Dockmaster to clean up a small fuel spill caused by the vessel. The owner contacted his insurance company and was responsible for having a tow company salvage his vessel as it was almost completely submerged.

— HP responded to a boat fire / explosion at the Glorietta Bay Launch Ramp. An HP vessel unit responded and worked with Coronado Fire Dept. to extinguish the flames on the boat and in the water as the fuel was spreading around the ramp area. The vessel was a complete loss and the loading dock was severely damaged. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

— U-34 on scene with a 25 year old male with a skeg injury in his hair line in the Black Gold parking lot. U-34 transports patient to the top where he self-transports for treatment.

— 25 y/o female with a thigh laceration from a kayak accident at the foot of Avenida De La Playa. E-9 AMA’s patient who will self-transport.

— VHF call from the “Free & Brave” reporting a missing kayak, advised we will keep a look out.

— Drowning at Blacks Beach, windows area CPR in progress. AED deployed, E-9 and M-9 respond. Patient is pronounced via medics.

— 26 y/o female at the OB tower complaining she has a ring stuck on her finger and is requesting medics. Metro advises they do not respond for ring removal and patient is advised to go to station 15.

-Sunken boat in South Pacific Passage. Two lifeguard fire vessels respond and boat is recovered.

— 54 y/o male passed out on the beach in front of the Beach and Tennis club. E-13 and M-35 respond, M-35 transports to Scripps La Jolla.

— Report from metro command of a fainting on Citizens Trail. Trail checks clear from top to bottom UTL.

— Call from Citizens Trail ends up being on the Indian Canyon trail, units re-directed. 31-Sam, 3-Sam, R-43, 4-L, E-35, M-35 and Copter-2 respond. Medic on scene requests a pick off by Copter-2 and the patient is lowered into the parking lot. M-35 transports to unknown location.

— 17 y/o female anxiety attack at the OB lifeguard station. E-15, M-16 and SDPD respond. SDPD with a prisoner, fire and lifeguards clear.

— 14 y/o male with breathing problems, non-water related at 3105 Ocean Front Walk. U-23 on scene, 2-Sam, E-21 and M-21 respond. M-21 transports to Mercey.

— Female with an arm injury at 1350 Sunset Cliffs Blvd. Southern area cliff response dispatched. A lifeguard rescue vessel deploys crew to stabilize victim. Victim is extricated up the cliff by lifeguards and she AMA’s with E-22.

— Call on VHF 16 reporting a possible BUI operator and a fight at the Hyatt fuel dock. 24-Sam responds in a lifeguard rescue vessel and SDPD responds via land. SDPD evaluates operator and 24-Sam conducts a safety check on the vessel/clear.

San Diego Lifeguards are a 24 hour rescue agency whose responsibilities include water rescue, boat rescue, marine fire suppression, coastal cliff rescue, underwater search and recovery, swift water and flood search, rescue and emergency medical response. San Diego Lifeguards also handle enforcement of city, state and federal laws and regulations. Lifeguards are classified as peace officers with the power of arrest.
