Ben Wanicur leads a trio with Robert Dove and Matthew Smith for the jam session at 3rd Space (4610 Park Boulevard) from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. $5 at the door... Bobby Bradford makes a rare San Diego appearance joined by Vinny Golia and Mark Dresser at the Loft with the Ecosono Ensemble opening. 8 p.m. Free to UCSD students, $10 general admission...

Gilbert Castellanos has two gigs tonight, both at Panama 66 (1450 El Prado). First, he presents the Young Lions Series from 6 to 8 p.m. Then, he leads the jam session from 8:30 until 11 p.m. All ages, no cover, no minimum.
