Saxophonist Don Menza leads a quintet at Jazz Live, sponsored by Jazz 88 at the Saville Theatre (14th and C Street), featuring Tom Ranier, Don Rader, Chris Conner, and Dick Weller at 8 p.m. Free to Jazz 88 members, $10 general admission… Percussionist Tatsuya Nakatini visits UC San Diego with saxophonist Michel Doneda, Mark Dresser, Stephanie Richards, and the Conduction Ensemble plus Jeff Kaiser and others at the Loft (911 Lyman Lane) at 8 p.m. This concert is free.
