The daily bag and possession limit for calico bass (also known as kelp bass), barred sand bass, and spotted sand bass is five fish in any combination of species. The minimum size limit is 14"  total length or 10" alternate length.

19 anglers aboard the Chubasco II 1/2 day am run boated 2 rockfish and 156 calico bass. 115 of those calico bass were under 14" and released.

The Dolphin am 1/2 day run with 10 anglers at the rail returned to the dock with 3 sculpin and 19 rockfish, while 21 anglers aboard their afternoon 1/2 run caught 6 sculpin, 31 rockfish and 8 calico bass.

21 anglers aboard the Legend overnight trip caught 1 sheephead, 1 sculpin, 2 rockfish, 3 barracuda, 6 bonito and 3 yellowtail.

The Daiwa Pacific 3/4 day run south carrying 30 anglers reported 1 sand bass, 1 rockfish, 18 bonito and 5 yellowtail.

The Sea Star out of Oceanside took 9 anglers out for a 1/2 day am run and reported 2 bocaccio, 42 rockfish and 2 sand bass caught.

25 anglers aboard the Point Loma 1/2 day am run caught 7 sculpin, 57 rockfish and 1 short lingcod that was released.

Down at the Coronado Islands on a 3/4 day run, 31 anglers aboard the Mission Belle boated 8 yellowtail, 1 sculpin, 14 calico bass, 12 bonito and 2 sand bass.

The New Lo-An 3/4 day with 20 anglers aboard 5 yellowtail and 10 bonito.

23 anglers aboard New Seaforth 1/2 day am run caught 150 rockfish and 1 sand bass. Their 1/2 day afternoon run with 22 anglers at the rail reported 5 ocean whitefish, 1 sculpin and 28 rockfish.

The Sea Watch afternoon 1/2 day run with 12 anglers aboard 43 rockfish, 8 calico bass.

The San Diego 3/4 day Coronado Island run with 56 anglers at the rail reported 26 yellowtail caught.
