The Port of San Diego is hosting Friday Flix by the Bay this summer, a free film series held every other Friday evening at different waterfront parks. As the steward of San Diego Bay, the Port of San Diego manages 22 public parks that feature open space, bay views, and waterfront access.
This Friday, July 10, at 6:30 p.m., pre-show entertainment and activities will begin, concessions will open, and at dusk, the terrifying two-note riff from the Jaws soundtrack will sound as the screen lights up.
So far, The Spongebob Movie, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Soul Surfer have been shown in their bayfront settings.
After Jaws, the remaining schedule includes: July 24, Overboard at Broadway Pier in San Diego; August 7, Top Gun at Tidelands Park in Coronado; and, on August 21, Splash will screen at Marina View Park in Chula Vista.
