Gilbert Castellanos hosts the Latin Jazz Jam Session at Seven Grand (3054 University Avenue) at 9 p.m. 21+, no cover… Jazz 88 & Mark Augustin host the Blues Jam at Proud Mary’s (5500 Kearny Mesa Boulevard) at 6:30 p.m. Free, all ages.

Athenaeum Jazz presents Spiros Exaras and Elio Villafranca at the Music & Arts Library (1008 Wall Street) at 7:30 p.m. $26 general admission, $21 members, $15 student rush… The Sizzling Singers Summer Series continues with Whitney Shay, Rob Whitlock, and Charles Weller at Northern Spirits Jazz Club (727 West San Marcos Boulevard) 7:30 p.m. No cover… The Steph Johnson Trio with Rob Thorsen and Fernando Gomez play Croce’s Park West 2760 Fifth Avenue from 7 p.m. $10 cover.
