Melodic piano group Triosence with Bernhard Schuller on the ivories, Ingo Senst on bass, and Stephan Emig on drums arrive in San Diego to play Dizzy’s (4275 Mission Bay Drive) at 8:00 p.m. $15 at the door … the Steph Johnson Duo with Johnson on guitar and vocals and Rob Thorsen on bass are at Croce’s Park West (2760 Fifth Avenue). No cover charge.

The Gerard Nolan Quartet featuring Antar Martin on bass, Ed Kornhauser on piano, and Matthew Taylor on drums hit the Rook Bar (7745 University Avenue) 21+ no cover … the Abbey Rader Quartet with Peter Kuhn and Drew Ceccato on reeds, and Kyle Motl on bass perform at The Loft (911 Lyman Lane) with D.
