February 25 | Beer & Chocolate: Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits is teaming up with local chocolatier Lora Davis from Its Myne to present a quintet of beer-and-chocolate pairings, all of which will be explained by Davis and VP of specialty brewing Colby Chandler. The event also includes a cocktail reception and savory chocolate appetizer from BP executive chef Colin MacLaggan. | Ballast Point Tasting Room & Kitchen, 2215 India Street, Little Italy, 5:30 p.m.

February 26 | Charity Beer Release: The latest beer brewed to support the Beer to the Rescue fundraising campaign, Monkey Paw Pub & Brewery’s LUP’d Up Singel (LUPUS), a Belgian-style table beer brewed with rhubarb, Azacca and Nelson Sauvin hops, will make its official debut, with a portion of proceeds from the beer going to the Lupus Foundation of Southern California. | Monkey Paw Pub & Brewery, 805 16th Street, East Village, 5 p.m.

February 28 | Eighth Anniversary: They made a place for craft beer in macro-heavy PB, and now SD TapRoom is celebrating eight years of pushing that needle forward with a long list of rare and specialty beers from world-renowned brewing companies.
