The conventional half day boats did well yesterday, February 17, as the Daily Double AM run carrying 11 Anglers reported 3 Sculpin, 15 Rubberlip Seaperch and 2 Barred Sand Bass while the Premier 1/2 Day AM trip with 40 Anglers aboard returned with 265 Rockfish, 11 Sculpin, 1 Sheephead and 2 Lingcod in the sacks.

They're going to keep after those local yellows on the New Seaforth. Their 1/2 Day AM with 28 Anglers aboard did zero. Nada. Zilch. The afternoon was better. They took out 31 Anglers and got 1 Yellowtail and 1 Sculpin.

The Dolphin 3/4 Day With 13 Anglers aboard reported 13 Yellowtail 26 Anglers aboard the Point Loma 3/4 Day did well at the Coronado Islands, boating 12 Bonito and 77 Yellowtail Also out at the Coronados, the Malihini 3/4 Day carrying 23 Anglers reported 68 Yellowtail, 14 Rockfish, 2 Lingcod and 4 Bonito caught 33 Anglers rode the Tribute 1.5 Day out to Cortez Bank for 51 Yellowtail, 50 Bonito and 7 Bluefin Tuna

The yellows at Colonet are still biting good..as well as San Martin, about 150 miles south of San Diego. I want down to the Old Mill yesterday to scout around and get a little paddling in. Ran into some good folks, had a couple beers and told fishin' stories. Sure is nice to be in a tranquil spot. Here's a few shots from the San Quintin area.
