A 17-year-old identified as Adal Mundo Rodríguez was videoed abusing a homeless man, making him repeat different humiliating phrases in the Otay region of Tijuana, on December 20th.
The teenager holds what seems to be a gun to the man’s head. The homeless man, on his knees and apparently scared for his life, repeats everything that Mundo tells him to. Mundo makes fun of him for being a drug user and humiliates him with gay slurs and phrases.
“Greetings to Face[book],” Mundo shouts at the man, telling him to repeat after him in Spanish. “For all my compas in Tijuana, andamos al tirante, al millon,” Mundo continues as the homeless man repeats. “Greetings to my friend, Adal Mundo. Give me a like or I will beat your ass.”
The four-minute-long recording, which was allegedly shot by Mundo’s friends, finishes with the perpetrator putting his cigarette out on the homeless man’s chest.
The video was uploaded to social media and spread quickly.
Soon after the post, Anonymous Mexico uploaded a video shaming Mundo and his family by name. Anonymous told Mundo he had 48 hours to turn himself in to the proper authorities or they would be forced to start publicly persecuting him and his family.
Accompanied by his mom, Mundo reportedly turned himself in on December 21st to the authorities. The following day, Mundo offered a public apology on video, which has since been taken down. Mundo’s Facebook page has also been deleted.
