Gilbert Castellanos begins his evening by hosting the Young Lions Series, featuring Hugo Suarez, at Panama 66 (1450 El Prado) at 6 p.m. From there he’s off to the jazz jam session at Seven Grand (3054 University Avenue), with Joshua White, Rob Thorsen, and Ryan Shaw at 9 p.m. 21+, no cover.

The Sizzling Singers Series featuring Amber Whitlock continues with Rob Whitlock and Duncan Moore and special guest Holly Hofmann at Northern Spirits Jazz Club (727 West San Marcos Boulevard) from 7 p.m. No cover… The Betty Bryant duo with Rob Thorsen play Martinis Above Fourth (3940 Fourth Avenue) from 8 p.m.
