The Revolt Summer Surf Series heads into Ocean Beach this Saturday. It combines surf competition with music and beach activities in a festival setting. Ocean Beach Pier will be the second stop in the four-stop competitive series that concludes with the championship in Pacific Beach October 3.
Last year, Ocean Beach was stop number three and San Diego received swell from a series of tropical storms and hurricanes in Baja.
Throngs of spectators enjoyed champion Vince Boulanger’s style as he won his first series event in O.B. last year by out-scoring Brazilian Icaro Rodrigues and O.B. favorite Cody Sherman in the Men’s Pro-Am. Sherman will be charging hard to take the division in front of his home crowd this year.
