Statement from San Diego State President Elliot "Moneyman" Hirsh: "We understand that some members of the University community — particularly those associated with the Kappa Delta sorority — are unhappy with our decision to go ahead with this project. But frankly, FOX made a good point when it noted the real-life drama of a pretty young communications major who dies of a contagious disease followed by a pretty young psychology major who dies doing something 'daring' on a building ledge in front of a guy who is afraid of heights. And then they're from the same sorority house? The real shame would be to pass up an opportunity like this. And besides, we're donating 10% of the profits to Kappa Delta. Everybody wins."
