2014 San Diego Beer Week: Day 8

A comprehensive roundup of San Diego Beer Week events for November 14.

Friday, November 14 Beer Week Events

Ballast Point Tap Takeover: Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits has been on a growth tear over the past few years, but even when they were smaller and mostly known locally, The High Dive was the company’s single most fervent supporter, so you better believe they’ll score some truly special kegs for this single spotlight soiree. | The High Dive, 1801 Morena Boulevard, Bay Park, 9 a.m.

Mission Bay “Brew-Cation” 2014: Firefly, the restaurant at The Dana hotel, will host an intimate beer festival featuring six different tasting rooms stocked with beer from San Diego breweries and food from local eateries. Beer samples will be unlimited, as will views of works from local artists. | Firefly at The Dana, 1710 West Mission Bay Drive, Mission Bay, 6 p.m.

Meeting of the Guilds: It may be San Diego Beer week, but Toronado is celebrating the entire Golden State, stocking its taps with outstanding beers from the San Diego Brewers Guild, L.A. Brewers Guild, and San Francisco Brewers Guild. Each guild gets 15 taps apiece so guests can taste their way up and down the California coast. | Toronado, 4026 30th Street, North Park, 6 p.m.
