As reported back in January, Oggi’s Pizza & Brewing Co. is set to debut the first of its new Oggi’s Pizza Express venues at San Diego State University. The fast-casual spot is being installed in the new, $104 million Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union, and should open later this month. But already, plans are in the works for a number of new Oggi’s eateries throughout Southern California.
Construction is already underway on the second Oggi’s Pizza Express. Located at 825 Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach, it will also debut before May is through (barring any delays). According to the company, a contract to build nine more locations in San Diego and Riverside Counties has been finalized. The cities targeted for the latter include Temecula and Murrieta. The company eventually plans to roll the Oggi’s Pizza Express concept out to neighboring states, as well.
Oggi’s Pizza Express will feature a system where diners create their own pizza with unlimited toppings. The price-tag for customizable pies will be just under eight dollars. Pre-designed pizzas and salads will also be available along with craft beer from Oggi’s and guest breweries. In addition to these fast-casual eateries, Oggi’s recently opened one of its full-scale restaurants in Fullerton and has plans to open more in Vista and Rancho Cucamonga this year, followed by Fremont, Pleasanton, Milpitas and Santa Clara in Northern California.
