Societe Brewing goes long

Kearny Mesa brewery to celebrate two years over 10 days

Place

Societe Brewing Company

8262 Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, San Diego

I am in awe of birthday celebrants with the foresight, ability, and friendship base to stretch their special day into a full week of good times. So, I can’t help but to marvel a bit at Societe Brewing Company (8262 Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, Kearny Mesa). In hitting the two-year milestone, the minds behind the business have scheduled 10 days of special events. Not only that, they’ve also employed a clever mechanism for rewarding fans that join them multiple times over their extended, San Diego Beer Week-style anniversary period.

From June 20 to 29, customers will be able to purchase a commemorative second anniversary glass. Purchase of the glass includes the first fill while also entitling the holder to discounted $2 and $1 dollar featured beers over the course of this sudsy 10-day. Those brews include mainstays like The Harlot Belgian-style extra ale as well as rarities such as Amarillo, Citra, and Mosaic versions of The Bachelor single-hop IPA, and The Gleaner, a Saison with California Sagebrush. The full schedule of events is as follows:

  • Sunday, June 29, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. | Stygian Hangover Brunch with San Diego Beer Brunch

Instead of a big blow-out like Societe’s first anniversary party, which included four sessions over half as many days, this format will allow more of the company’s fans (of which there are many both in and beyond San Diego County) to partake in a celebratory toast — and at a bargain, no less. Details on the events listed above can be found on Societe's website.
