Soggy but happy anglers

Well, the rain kept most local fishin' folk indoors yesterday, though the Premier made it out for a 1/2 Day PM run with 13 soggy but happy Anglers catching 4 California Sheephead, 43 Rockfish

The Red Rooster III reported another slow but steady day at Clarion during their 16 Day trip, with 31 Yellowfin Tuna to 210 pounds

Fishing the lower Hurricane bank area on a 15 Day trip, the Excel is reporting fair fishing for 70-130 pound Yellowfin Tuna with a couple over 200 (one going 248) They are also picking a few Wahoo in the mix.

Notably from the tap water:

A new state record Blue Catfish weighing 49.30 pounds was caught (weighed and released) on November 29th by Paul Voytko at Lake Wohlford, breaking the previous lake record of 47.25 pounds

A 14 pound 4 ounce Mt. Lassen stocked Rainbow Trout was caught on November 26 by Timothy Lambert fishing a night crawler along the shoreline of Lake Cuyamaca

12/10/14 Lake Dixon will receive 1500 pounds of Rainbow Trout

12/10/14 Lake Wohlford will receive 6000 pounds of Rainbow Trout just in time for the Season Opener on 12/13/14

12/12/14 Santee Lakes will receive 1000 pounds of Rainbow Trout from Jess Ranch hatchery
